Βιογραφικό

O Κωνσταντίνος Τσαχουρίδης γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στη Βέροια.

Το 1996 κερδίζει το πρώτο πανελλήνιο βραβείο ερμηνείας παραδοσιακής μουσικής και με υποτροφία της Ιεράς Μητρόπολης Βεροίας μεταβαίνει στο Λονδίνο όπου σπουδάζει στο Πανεπιστήμιο Goldsmiths University of London (πτυχίο & μεταπτυχιακό στην Εθνομουσικολογία). Στο ίδιο ίδρυμα τελειώνει με άριστα τη διδακτορική του διατριβή ως υπότροφος του ιδρύματος Michael Marks Charitable Trust με θέμα τις φωνητικές τεχνικές του Πόντου και της Ηπείρου μέσα από μια πρωτότυπη εθνογραφική αντανακλαστική και παιδαγωγική μελέτη.

Το 2004 αρχίζει την συνεργασία του με τον Μίμη Πλέσσα στη τηλεοπτική σειρά της ΕΡΤ «Τα Παιδιά της Νιόβης» και ακολουθούν τα ορατόρια «Κοσμάς ο Αιτωλός» (σε ποίηση Ιάκωβου Αυλητή), «Απόστολος Παύλος» καθώς και η μουσική μονογραφία «Άγιες Μνήμες» (σε ποίηση Δημήτρη Ι. Μπρούχου).

Το 2005 βραβεύεται από το Ελληνικό Ίδρυμα Λονδίνου (Hellenic Foundation) ως «Ο πιο υποσχόμενος νέος Έλληνας καλλιτέχνης του Λονδίνου» και το 2006 αναλαμβάνει καλλιτεχνικός διευθυντής και σολίστας στο 21ο Διεθνές Βυζαντινό Συνέδριο του Λονδίνου με πατρόνα τον τότε Πρίγκιπα Κάρολο (νυν βασιλιά του ΗΒ) ερμηνεύοντας το ειδικά γραμμένο έργο του Sir John Tavener «Μοιρολόι για την Κωνσταντινούπολη».

Έχει λάβει μέρος σε πλήθος παραστάσεων, ηχογραφήσεων και σεμιναρίων ενώ από το 2010 έως σήμερα, μαζί με τον αδερφό του Ματθαίο, υπήρξε κύριος εμπνευστής και παραγωγός των παραστάσεων «Ψυχή & Σώμα» αγκαλιάζοντας ένα παγκόσμιο ρεπερτόριο μουσικής σε σημαντικά κέντρα πολιτισμού του δυτικού κόσμου αλλά και της Μέσης Ανατολής.

Η μουσική του πορεία έχει αποτελέσει πολλές φορές αντικείμενο τηλεοπτικών και ραδιοφωνικών αφιερωμάτων εντός και εκτός συνόρων (ERT, RUDAW TV, SKAI, ANT1, ALPHA, ΡΙΚ, κ.α.) ξεχωρίζοντας τα 2 αφιερώματα (2016 & 2019) της εκπομπής «Στην Υγειά μας ρε παιδιά» (ΣΚΑΙ) καθώς και το «Μουσικό Κουτί» (ΕΡΤ 2024).

Το 2019 εμπνέεται και πραγματοποιεί ως σολίστας και παραγωγός, μαζί με τον αδερφό του, την sold out παράσταση «Μίκης ο Ευξείνιος» στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Θεσσαλονίκης. Πρόκειται για ένα από τα τελευταία projects με την υπογραφή του ίδιου του συνθέτη, Μίκη Θεοδωράκη.

Ανατρεπτικός και πολυπαραγωγικός, ο Κωνσταντίνος κατέχει την πατρότητα και πραγμάτωση πολλών άλλων projects όπως η ιδέα για το Guinness Record (Διεθνής έκθεση Θεσσαλονίκης 2016, κατοχυρώνοντας ειδική κατηγορία για τον ποντιακό χορό «ομάλ»), η πραγματοποίηση της μουσικο-θεατρικής παράστασης «Γη του Πόντου» (2022-23) του Δ. Ψαθά σε σκηνοθεσία του Γ. Κακλέα, η μουσική σύνθεση του ιδίου για «Τα παιδιά της Άνοιξης» (Heaven Music 2023) και πολλά άλλα. Ο Κωνσταντίνος, κάτοχος μεταδιδακτορικού διπλώματος (2015) με βαθμό άριστα, διετέλεσε επίσης Επισκέπτης Βοηθός Ερευνητή στο Παιδαγωγικό Ινστιτούτο του Πανεπιστημίου του Λονδίνου (2008-2014).

Τέλος, έχει πραγματοποιήσει δημοσιεύσεις ακαδημαϊκών άρθρων σε έγκριτα επιστημονικά περιοδικά του εξωτερικού και της Ελλάδας ενώ από το 2010 διδάσκει στο Πανεπιστήμιο Δυτικής Μακεδονίας (Παιδαγωγικό τμήμα Δημοτικής Εκπαίδευσης / ΕΔΙΠ) με κύριο αντικείμενο τη φωνητική παιδεία και την παιδαγωγική της.

Konstantinos Tsahouridis was born and raised in Veria.

In 1996, he won the first Panhellenic Prize for the Interpretation of Traditional Music and, with a scholarship from the Holy Metropolis of Veria, moved to London, where he studied at Goldsmiths, University of London (Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Ethnomusicology). At the same institution, he completed his doctoral dissertation with distinction as a scholar of the Michael Marks Charitable Trust, focusing on the vocal techniques of Pontus and Epirus through an original ethnographic, reflexive, and pedagogical study.

In 2004, he began his collaboration with Mimis Plessas on the ERT television series The Children of Niobe, followed by the oratorios Kosmas the Aetolian (poetry by Iakovos Avlitis), Apostle Paul, as well as the musical monograph Holy Memories (poetry by Dimitris I. Brouchos).

In 2005, he was awarded by the Hellenic Foundation in London as “The Most Promising Young Greek Artist in London,” and in 2006 he served as Artistic Director and soloist at the 21st International Byzantine Congress in London, under the patronage of then Prince Charles (now King of the United Kingdom), performing Sir John Tavener’s specially commissioned work Lament for Constantinople.

He has participated in numerous performances, recordings, and seminars, and from 2010 to the present, together with his brother Matthaios, he has been the principal inspirer and producer of the performances Soul & Body, embracing a global musical repertoire and presenting it at major cultural centers across the Western world as well as the Middle East.

His musical career has frequently been the subject of television and radio tributes both in Greece and abroad (ERT, RUDAW TV, SKAI, ANT1, ALPHA, RIK, among others), notably including two special features (2016 & 2019) on the program Stin Ygeia Mas, Re Paidia (SKAI), as well as Musical Box (ERT, 2024).

In 2019, inspired and realized as soloist and producer, together with his brother, the sold-out performance Mikis the Euxinian at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall—one of the last projects personally signed by the composer Mikis Theodorakis.

Innovative and highly prolific, Konstantinos has conceived and realized many other projects, including the idea and execution of a Guinness Record (Thessaloniki International Fair, 2016), establishing a special category for the Pontian dance omal; the music-theatrical production Land of Pontus (2022–23) by D. Psathas, directed by G. Kakleas; his own musical composition The Children of Spring (Heaven Music, 2023); and many others. Holding a postdoctoral diploma (2015) with distinction, he also served as Visiting Assistant Researcher at the Institute of Education, University of London (2008–2014).

Finally, he has published academic articles in leading scholarly journals in Greece and abroad, and since 2010 he has taught at the University of Western Macedonia (Department of Primary Education / EDiP), with a primary focus on vocal education and its pedagogy.
