Βιογραφικό
Ο Κώστας Μήτσης κατάγεται από την Ήπειρο και συγκεκριμένα από τα χωριά της Πρέβεζας όπου και ζούσε μέχρι το 2006. Μεγάλωσε σε αγροτικό περιβάλλον με την παραδοσιακή μουσική και το χορό να αποτελούν μέρος της καθημερινής του ζωής.
Σπούδασε Γεωπονία στο Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο της Θεσσαλονίκης και ακολούθησε μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στο Πανεπιστήμιο Ιωαννίνων στην προστασία του περιβάλλοντος. Μιλάει Ελληνικά, Αγγλικά και Γερμανικά.
Με το παραδοσιακό τραγούδι ασχολείται από το 2002 και καλύπτει ένα ευρύ ρεπερτόριο από όλη την Ελλάδα. Έχει συνεργαστεί και συνεργάζεται με μερικούς από τους κορυφαίους μουσικούς και ερμηνευτές.
Έχει εμφανιστεί σε παραστάσεις στο Ηρώδειο, στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών, στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Θεσσαλονίκης και στο θέατρο Δόρα Στράτου, ενώ τραγουδά σε γλέντια, γάμους, φεστιβάλ, συναυλίες και εκδηλώσεις χορευτικών συγκροτημάτων στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό.
Ιδιαίτερα τα τελευταία 15 χρόνια περιοδεύει κάθε χρόνο στην Ευρώπη, Αμερική και στον Καναδά.
Kostas Mitsis originates from Epirus, Greece, specifically from the villages of Preveza, where he lived until 2006. He grew up in a rural environment where traditional music and dance were an integral part of everyday life.
He studied Agricultural Science at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and pursued postgraduate studies in Environmental Protection at the University of Ioannina. He speaks Greek, English, and German.
He has been involved in traditional Greek singing since 2002, performing a diverse repertoire representing musical traditions from throughout Greece. Throughout his career, he has collaborated and continues to work with some of the most distinguished musicians and performers in the field.
He has performed at prestigious venues, including the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron), the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, and the Dora Stratou Theatre. He also regularly performs at traditional celebrations, weddings, festivals, concerts, and cultural events organized by dance groups throughout Greece and abroad.
Over the past fifteen years in particular, he has toured annually throughout Europe, the United States, and Canada, sharing the rich traditions of Greek folk music with audiences around the world.
